The full-length premiere of MATADORA by INSÉKTA is coming to Chicago, Fall 2026. A visceral performance dedicated to LATAM immigrants, the Latiné/x/a/o community, and Chicago art lovers.

INSÉKTA has been invited by Such Creatures to perform an excerpt of MATADORA as part of the 2026 Trans Movement Fest.
We are excited to bring this work to the Queer Pride Cabaret stage to celebrate trans joy and Latinx resilience alongside a radical lineup of artists.
This is a special opportunity to see a preview of the movement before our full-length premiere this fall.
Dembow: a LATINX fusion dance class
Join INSÉKTA at the 2026 Trans Movement Fest for a Dembow-based workshop for self-identified trained dancers. Blending floor work, modern, and contemporary forms with Latin American aesthetics, this session access ‘la gozadera’ or Latinx joy through rigorous movement.

CLATA and PHYSICAL THEATER FESTIVAL present their 3rd All-Latine SCRATCH NIGHT, Destinos Edition on Monday October 20th at The Atheneum Theater as part of Destinos: Chicago International Latino Theater Festival, 8th edition.
Running October 1 to November 2, 2025, this year’s festival features more than a dozen theatrical productions—including world premieres, national debuts, and international collaborations—across 13 theaters and cultural venues citywide and in Northwest Indiana.
SCRATCH NIGHT - Destinos edition t will showcase 6 new works in progress by Chicago Latine Artists and will be co-curated by Isabella Diaz and Alice da Cunha.
